Finance Industry Gala Party

As part of the scope of work ID provided for the 6000 pax Conference, the final night Conference Party was by far one of the largest corporate events staged during the week! The event was for up to 3,500 delegates and marked the finale of the social events for the week. ID worked with a leading Event supplier in Sydney to create this party.

 

The brief included:

    • Create a fun and engaging event
    • Provide opportunities for networking and for guests to meet up with colleagues and friends
    • Provide seating for the majority of guests during the service of dinner
    • Provide some flavour of Australia through the menu and the theming
    • High quality, engaging entertainment was of utmost importance

     

Highlights of the event included:

  • More than 80 coaches provided return shuttle services from all major city hotels to and from the venue throughout the night
  • Major NSW government bodies were enlisted to ensure the success of the evening and regular government department briefings allowed dup to date event information to be circulated to the relevant authorities
  • A range of seating styles ensured more than 90% of guests were able to be seated in the dining room throughout the food service period
  • More than 45 walk around Australian characters provided meet and greet services and entertained guests through the first half of the night
  • More than 50 unique and interactive games were installed to provide entertainment for the duration of the night! The arcade games in particular proved popular with the crowd!
  • Four distinct areas were created to provide 4 different ‘experiences’ ranging from the Dining Room to the Games area, the Red Hot Club (nightclub) and the Cool Lounge(the chilled out Jazz lounge)
  • More than 1000 man hours were spent on transforming the spaces to fit the theme
  • An 11 piece band entertained the crowd with a 100 minute show.

IT company Incentive Program

This program was the biggest of this companies meeting worldwide. Over 3000 guests attended this event making it the largest single incentive movement ever operated in Australia at the time. A total ID team of 108 staff were involved in this event. It included the use of five international 5 star hotels, 724 motorcoach movements and two arrival days with approximately 50 guests per flight.

It was the first time…

    • customs and immigration at Sydney Airport gave permission for staff assistance to be airside for arrivals
    • the Australian Opera Company and the Sydney Symphony Orchestra performed exclusively for a corporation
    • clear marquees were used on the forecourt of the Opera House (approximately 38,000 square metres)
    • a commercial social function was held at Campbells Cove Sydney Harbour
    • such a large corporate sailing regatta was held on Sydney Harbour involving 72 yachts and 700 people in total
    • participants were offered over 100 different team building activities
    • such a large amount of technical and lighting equipment was used for one event at the auditorium of the Sydney Convention and Exhibition Centre

Luxury Motor Car Incentive Case Study

This program was for 42 very high achievers. It took in 4 destinations in Australia, starting in Sydney before moving on to the sparkling Great Barrier Reef Island of Hayman, then to Tasmania the Eco Island and finishing in Melbourne, Australia’s style and events capital.

    • Charter aircraft ensured the departure and arrival times where as the client wanted
    • Creating a Tassie program around the “bush tucker” man so guests could experience the Tasmania outback in gourmet luxury
    • Using various fixed and non fixed wing aircraft to arrive at different destinations for activities
    • Creating a gala event in a heritage listed shopping arcade, culminating in the Chocolate Store opening for Dessert
