Location

Hayman is a private island destination, the furthest island in the Whitsunday Isles group and beautifully situated in the magnificent Great Barrier Reef.

How to get there

Jetstar has flights from Sydney Hamilton Island (Great Barrier Reef Airport) and Hayman has their own luxury launch vessels that meet each flight at Hamilton Island and transfer guests to Hayman Island. The transfer takes approximately one hour, with Hayman staff on board to ensure guests are comfortable. Check-in is undertaken on board the vessel.

Guests can also reach Hayman Island via seaplane or helicopter from Hamilton Island or Shute Harbour, and by helicopter only from Proserpine, Townsville and Mackay (on the Whitsunday Coast of mainland Australia).

Highlights

The Great Barrier Reef
The Great Barrier Reef is a living phenomenon. The reef’s coloured branches sit upon banks of limestone polyps, which have been built up slowly over thousands of years from the seabed. Brightly coloured tropical fish glide and dart through the coral gardens and channels of water separate the banks of the coral.

Hayman Island run regular trips to the outer Reef. Choose your Reef adventure, cruise, snorkel, dive, fly or submarine!

Water Activities
You are in the tropics at Hayman Island and there is no better time to get in and on the beautiful waters of the Whitsunday's. Hayman offers a wide selection of water based activities including sailing, kayaking, snorkeling, diving, fishing, water skiing, inflatable chariot rides, Reef viewing and parasailing to name a few.

Dining
Fresh produce is flown into Hayman Island daily to provide 5 star food and beverage to all of its guests. There are a number of restaurants on the island catering for all tastes. Choose from al fresco beach side dining at Azure and the Beach Pavilion, Asian influences at the Oriental, lively Mediterranean flavours at La Trattoria and the formal French Australian dining at La Fontaine.
