In January 2009, Tourism Queensland launched the now internationally renowned 'The Best Job In The World' campaign. Andrew Cameron-Smith was engaged as production consultant and live event producer in May 2008. Staged from Hamilton Island, the Live Event encompassed the Whitsunday Group of Islands as part of the Islands of The Great Barrier Reef campaign. Andrew was responsible for crafting a logistical footprint that would deliver a Live Event to an international audience and a schedule that would enable the selection process to be vital, energetic, fundamentally representative of the region and tourism product, cost effective, environmentally responsible, enormously appealing to a growing international audience and safe.
