Australia is in Drought – called the worst in 1000 years
ID Australia in collaboration with McVeigh Associates, Hayman Island Resort, Intercontinental Sydney and Tourism Australia invite you to participate in making a difference.
Some weeks ago we attended an event where we were given US$100 to make a difference. The concept is called Pay it Forward. You may be familiar with paying it forward , which refers to repaying the good deeds one has received by doing good things for others.
Recently the US talk show host, Oprah gave her audience a challenge to Pay it Forward, giving 300 audience guests $1,000 USD on a debit card and a camcorder to record the acts of kindness they did.
We decided to translate this moral philosophy into assisting to address the chronic drought that over 60% of Australia is facing.
Working together with t he Salvation Army's Drought Relief appeal allows us the ability to donate to a highly organized infrastructure that aims to strengthen the capacity of families to survive and will focus on making the lives of the children as normal as possible.
